Why choose the ergonomics hub?

Ergonomics focuses on how people interact with their tools and environment. It considers the workstation as a whole, taking into account the person and the purpose of his/her work. It is not simply a chair or a desk, or a monitor arm, but how these work together for the user.

For over half a century, ergonomic principles have been an integral part of Herman Miller’s products, environments, knowledge base and customer service:

-Designer George Nelson was one of the first to apply ergonomics to the work environment in the 1940’s

-In the early 1960’s, Bob Propst revolutionised the structure of working environments with his groundbreaking systems furniture, Action Office®
-Bill Stumpf  introduced ergonomics to the task seating market in 1976 with the Ergon® chair

At Herman Miller we have built upon this heritage by working to build a better world around our clients and customers. We design furnishings and related services that improve the human experience wherever people work, heal, learn, and live.

As pioneers and thought leaders in the area of workspace ergonomics, we offer a series of RIBA CPD accredited, face to face training seminars that give you the chance to connect with us.  For further information on upcoming training and events please send us an email
